Various organ/tissue-specific diseases caused by increased inflammation, such as chronic hepatitis C virus infection, biliary cirrhosis, psoriatic and osteoarthritis, attract NK cells via the CXCR3/CXCL10 axis [36–39]; meanwhile, CXCL11-targeted CXCR3 promotes antitumor responses [40]. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL10 and chronic hepatitis C virus infection.
