Interestingly, the analysis of the mSin3A/HDAC complex member alterations in NSCLC via the TCGA database revealed that ING2 was altered in 20 out of 408 (4.9%) NSCLC and was found to be higher in squamous cell carcinoma than in adenocarcinoma (6.7% and 2.6%, respectively) (Figure 2, panel A). This evidence concerns the gene ING2 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
