In contrast, the pre-TIMP1 mRNA level (primer: Forward, TTCTGGCATCCTGTTGTTGC; reverse, CACTGGACTGAAAGGGAAACCA) in the recipient HT29 cells was not altered by incubation with platelets (Supplementary Figure 4A and 4B), suggesting that the increase of TIMP1 mRNA level in cancer cells is not caused de novo mRNA biosynthesis but derived from platelet delivery.
