Previous studies have demonstrated upregulation of several BET transcription factors in glioblastomas (Pastori et al., 2014; Wadhwa and Nicolaides, 2016) and multiple pre-clinical studies have investigated the potential of BET inhibition as a single drug treatment for glioblastoma (Xu et al., 2018; Ishida et al., 2017; Cheng et al., 2013). This evidence concerns the gene DNER and glioblastoma.
