In order to investigate whether upregulated mTOR signaling is involved in suppressing metabolic processes and inhibiting Cat-GS expression, we performed Gene Set Enrichment Analyses (GSEA) and found that Cat-GS is enriched in patients having low mTOR signaling score as compared to those having high mTOR signaling score from four different HCC patients datasets (Figure 3C) suggesting that mTOR-signaling might regulate Cat-GS during HCC onset and progression. The gene discussed is MTOR; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
