YBX1 and AIDS dementia complex: While only PIK3CA and SOX2 were significantly co-expressed in the SCC dataset (q < 0.001; Figure 1B), notably, this analysis did not show YBX1 alteration to be significantly associated with the current targetable oncogenes ALK, BRAF or EGFR in ADC (Figure 1A), despite there being a small proportion of tumors that had elevated levels of both YBX1 and EGFR. This suggests that YB-1 deregulation may represent a unique subpopulation of patients that may not have a targetable mutation.
