Our studies have indicated that LPLUNC could work as a potential tumor suppressor gene in NPC15, 16, 18, and we identified that CALR was one of differentially expressed genes using proteomic techniques in LPLUNC1 overexpression NPC cells, which was down-regulated by LPLUNC1, suggesting CALR plays an important role in the development of NPC and might be involved in the inhibitory roles of LPLUNC1 in NPC14. The gene discussed is BPIFB1; the disease is nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
