A comparison of MCMV-based vectors encoding either the full length gene of the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) (MCMV/PSAFL) or a PSA-derived epitope (MCMV/PSA65–73) within the ie2 gene [150] showed that only MCMV/PSA65–73 protected against tumour challenge with a PSA-expressing adenocarcinoma, although both vectors induced an inflationary response of PSA-specific CD8 T cells. Here, CD8A is linked to neoplasm.
