Reports demonstrated that gemcitabine may reverse the resistance mechanism of cisplatin in endometrial cancer by regulating the expression of glutathione (GSH)/glutathione-S-transferase (GST) and phosphorylation of p53, increasing cytotoxic activity.[16,17] In addition, Tanaka et al treated 30 patients with advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer with gemcitabine, levofloxacin, irinotecan, and 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) (GLIF).
