Since JMJD2A was involved in the function of KLF8 in lung cancer cells, we next analyzed whether KLF8 could regulate the expression of JMJD2A. Our qRT-PCR and western blot results showed that KLF8 knockdown reduced the expression of JMJD2A whereas KLF8 overexpression promoted the expression of JMJD2A in A549 cells (Fig. 6a–d). This evidence concerns the gene KDM4A and lung carcinoma.
