PROM1 and melanoma: Transwell invasion assays, followed by quantification by Image J (Figure 3b right two panels, Figure 3c right panel), revealed a significant decrease in invasiveness of BAK-R CD133-siRNA knockdown cells compared to BAK-R-scrambled control cells (p < 0.001), indicating that CD133 plays an important role in invasiveness of BAK-R melanoma cells.
