HLA-C and HIV infectious disease: Significantly, chromosome 6, which carries the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) loci responsible for immune response, was found to be over-represented with enriched pd-/pf-pdGenes, associated with the most number of different diseases, especially those with immune association including Autoimmune Disease (Adjusted p-value < 0.05), Type 1 diabetes (Adjusted p-value < 0.05), Lupus Erythematosus (Adjusted p-value < 0.05), and HIV infection (Adjusted p-value < 0.05).
