In the present study, IF staining suggested the possible source of CCL22 is CD163+ TAMs, and bexarotene decreased CCL22 production from CD163+ M2 macrophages in vitro, suggesting that bexarotene induces anti-CTCL effects by suppressing CCL22 production from TAMs in CTCL patients. Here, CD163 is linked to primary cutaneous T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
