Although both CXCL5 and CXCL10 are important for immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment by recruiting polymorphonuclear MDSCs, neutrophils, Tregs, and effector T cells in solid tumor such as melanoma, renal cell carcinoma, esophageal carcinoma, and pancreatic cancer (23–27), bexarotene did not affect serum levels of CXCL5 and CXCL10 in the present study. The gene discussed is CXCL10; the disease is renal cell carcinoma.
