Because dysfunction of p62 as well as CB2 receptors are involved in neurodegenerative diseases, inflammation, cancer and bone biology (Pacher and Mechoulam, 2011; Duran et al., 2016; Sanchez-Martin and Komatsu, 2018), it has to be clarified in future experiments if the complex formation of p62 and CB2 is involved in these pathophysiologic functions.
