As shown in Table 3, old age (>60 years old; p = 0.024), diabetes mellitus (p < 0.001), cirrhosis (p < 0.001), microvascular invasion (p < 0.001), high AFP (> 5 μg/L; p = 0.047), high NLR (>1.8; p = 0.032), low PNI (≤45; p < 0.001), and low SII (≤160; p = 0.008) were associated with high OS in BCLC 0-A HCC patients after hepatectomy. Here, AFP is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
