Overall, our studies suggest that PTUPB at the higher dose and t-TUCB are equally effective in reducing eosinophilic inflammation, while t-TUCB alone but not PTUPB or celecoxib appears to be more effective at significantly reducing levels of specific Th2-promoting inflammatory mediators, i.e., IL-4, IL-13 and eotaxin-2.
