In pan-cancer analyses, many known oncogenes (e.g., BCAR4, BCL2, CCNE1, CD274, CDK4, CRKL, ERBB2, FGF4, IGF2, PDCD1LG2, MDM2, MYC, and TERT) are overexpressed with SSV breakpoints located near the gene, and many tumor suppressor genes (notably PTEN, STK11, TP53, and RB1) are underexpressed with breakpoints located within the gene. This evidence concerns the gene RB1 and cancer.
