Methylation of hMLH1, analyzed in 138 plasma samples predicted poor survival (hazard ratio: 1.99) (Gifford, 2004) while CDH1, CDH13, and APC (out of a 15 gene panel) analyzed in peritoneal fluid from 57 ovarian cancer patients could predict overall survival (Suehiro et al., 2008). This evidence concerns the gene APC and ovarian carcinoma.
