There are previous publications with convincing indications that loss of neurofascin in general, and NF186 in particular, causes cerebellar dysfunction and ataxia in animals (Zhou et al., 1998; Ango et al., 2004; Zonta et al., 2011; Buttermore et al., 2012; Leterrier et al., 2017).
