SRC and cancer: Caveolin-1 has been shown to promote RhoA activity by suppressing Src and the RhoA inactivator p190RhoGAP (Grande-García et al., 2007) and is implicated in the generation of actomyosin contractility in cancer-associated fibroblasts, activating RhoA to promote reorganization of stromal matrix (Goetz et al., 2011).
