These have shown some similar patterns, such as an association between higher levels of overall subjective wellbeing and lower levels of CRP 2 years later in older adults (Okely et al., 2017), higher levels of positive affect and lower CRP over a 12 month period amongst a small cohort of breast cancer survivors (Moreno et al., 2016), and lower levels of positive affect during a brief period of induced stress and increased IL-1β reactivity in a small laboratory study (Aschbacher et al., 2012). Here, CRP is linked to breast carcinoma.
