In this study, we investigated the inhibition of disulfiram on ethanol-induced osteoclastogenesis via decreasing the expression of NFATc1, we also found that the role of ALDH1A1 during the process of osteoclastogenesis, and the silence of ALDH1A1 lead to the down-regulation of NFATc1, the master factor of osteoclastogenesis, these data indicated ALDH1A1-NFATc1 axis a potential therapy target of osteoporosis. The gene discussed is NFATC1; the disease is osteoporosis.
