The associations between the alterations in POLK and cancers, such as lung cancer and prostate cancer, have been confirmed in multiple studies.18, 28 In our previous study, we demonstrated the relationship between POLK polymorphisms and breast cancer.17 In present study, we evaluated the value of POLK variants in glioma by analyzing two (rs5744533 and rs3213801) POLK SNPs from 605 glioma cases and 1300 controls. This evidence concerns the gene POLK and Familial prostate cancer.
