NET1 and cancer: These data, together with their chromatin looping (Fig. 5d), suggested that NET1e contributes to breast cancer progression via upregulation of the important breast cancer oncogene NET1. In addition, knockdown of NET1e did not significantly impact cell proliferation in non-breast cancer cell lines, including MCF10A and Hela, in which NET1e shows low expression level (Supplementary Fig. 5E and 5F), suggesting a specific effect of NET1e in breast cancer growth.
