CD4 and infection: Both were long-term non-progressors (LTNP's) maintaining a favorable course of asymptomatic infection with high CD4+T-cells and low viral load.[27–28] They did not receive any anti-HIV-1 medication in the course of the 34 years follow-up (individual # 61 has taken medication since February 2017), and did not follow the same pattern (deflection or inflection) as the rest of the HIV-1 infected group, showing instead a constant slow decrease in percentage and absolute counts of CD4+ T-cells (Fig. 3).
