As mentioned before, c-Myc and GP73 were upregulated in HepG2 cells incubated in mildly hypoxic conditions of 2% O2, and it was reported that upregulation of both c-Myc and GP73 facilitated cancer metastasis; we posit that mildly hypoxic conditions promoted cell migration via upregulation of c-Myc and GP73.
