In addition, TINCR, which was identified as an epidermal differentiation–related lncRNA, was downregulated in human squamous cell carcinoma specimens.48 A new study from Minna Piipponen provided evidence that LINC00162, which was also named p38‐inhibited cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma–associated lincRNA (PICSAR), was a specifically upregulated cytoplasmic intergenic lncRNA in primary and metastatic cSCC cell lines in vitro and cSCC tumour cells in vivo. This evidence concerns the gene TINCR and skin squamous cell carcinoma.
