The percentage of vaccinated patients in our study was relatively low (13.9%), compared to that in a study conducted by Malhi et al. in 2015, which concluded that 41.2% of its patients had been vaccinated with 61.3%, 61.0%, 20.7%, and 10.3% of their IBD patients completing influenza, hepatitis B, meningococcal, and pneumococcal vaccines, respectively, while on Anti-TNF therapy [35]. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and inflammatory bowel disease.
