The expression patterns of hypA determined under stressful pH conditions in the most prevalent clinical species (A. hydrophila, A. caviae, A. dhakensis and A. veroni) and in two species frequently associated with fish diseases (A. salmonicida and A. piscicola) by qRT-PCR are shown in Figure 3A. All Aeromonas species displayed a similar relative expression of hypA in alkaline conditions (pH 8) (Figure 3A). Here, PRPF40A is linked to fish disease.
