CD86 and neoplasm: For T cell priming, dendritic cells load antigen from the tumor and transport it to the draining lymph nodes, where they present antigen/MHC complexes to T-cells, but T-cells become activated only if they are able to recognize both the complexes (through their T-cell receptors) and to bind CD80 and CD86 on DCs (through CD28 costimulatory receptors).
