Consistent with findings in our cohort, further analysis of colon cancer patient data in TCGA (http://bit.ly/2qJPf7B) using CBioportal revealed a gain in Rpl22L1 copy number in 18% of patient samples (n = 636, Adenocarcinoma,TCGA, Provisional; Fig 3F), which when combined with heterozygous loss/mutation of RPL22 (http://bit.ly/2uZTnnA; Fig 3G), was significantly associated with reduced disease/progression-free survival (p = 0.0362)[19].
