TNFSF11 and Miyoshi myopathy: A modest NGF response is seen when cells are grown in transwell with MM cells, suggesting involvement of soluble factors such as TNF-α, yet this response is incomplete and is likely to be dependent on other complex changes in the bone marrow environment which result in the greater response observed in vivo, such as production of MIP-1α and RANKL, and the resulting increased osteoclastogenesis.
