GHSR and cancer: Recently, several herbal medicines have been used for the treatment of patients suffering from anorexia,[11,16,27] and the mechanisms have been reported.[28–30] Several studies reported a correlation between YGJT and plasma ghrelin levels in cancer patients with chemotherapy-induced anorexia.[21,31] YGJT stimulates ghrelin secretion from the stomach, and the response to it in the hypothalamus regulates plasma ghrelin levels, sensitizes ghrelin receptors, and antagonizes 5-HT2b/c receptors.[19,32] We designed this study based on the results of previous research about YGJT.
