It is well recognized that DNA methylation in promoters plays important roles in regulating gene expression and is a crucial contributor to the development of disease.29 In this study, CEBPB gene showed significant difference in DNA methylation level in the vicinity of TSS in endometrium between adenomyosis and matched controls, and 3 CpG units including CpG_1, CpG_15‐17 and CpG_30‐32 with the most significant difference were assumed to be the binding sites of transcription factors GATA‐1, MZF1 and GATA‐3. This evidence concerns the gene GATA1 and adenomyosis.
