KIAA1586 and Alzheimer disease: We found that mRNAs in the circRNA KIAA1586-related ceRNA network were significantly enriched in known AD-associated biological processes (Figure 3, Supplementary File 5), such as Wnt signaling pathway (Boonen et al., 2009), protein dephosphorylation (Goedert et al., 1992), ensheathment of neurons (Morawski et al., 2010), stress-activated MAPK cascade (Morawski et al., 2010) and autophagy (Pickford et al., 2008).
