IL10 and Dengue hemorrhagic fever: Mean plasma IL-10 levels were elevated in all the patients suffering from DHF, however, in shocked patients (n=7), the levels were markedly raised after 24 hours (mean, 87.6 ± 7.7 pg/ml) compared levels at time of admission (mean, 42.5 ± 28.0 pg/ml; Figure 1). In recovered cases, the levels of plasma IL-10 were decreased after 24 hours (mean, 26.5 ± 16.0 pg/ml) as compared to elevated levels at the time of admission (mean, 74.3 ± 61.6 pg/ml; Figure 2).
