The chimeric antigen receptor designed for macrophages mainly contained two regions: one was an extracellular region, a single-chain variable region moiety (scFv) that recognised HER2, which is an important biomarker of breast cancer, and the other was the intracellular region of CD147, which is used to activate the expression of MMPs in macrophages. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast carcinoma.
