In this study, we found that the expression of E-cadherin in SGC-7901 and BGC-823 gastric cancer cells treated with 28-hydroxy-3-oxoolean-12-en-29-oic acid was increased, while that of N-cadherin and vimentin was decreased., indicating that 28-hydroxy-3-oxoolean-12-en-29-oic acid may hinder the progression of EMT in gastric cancer cells, thus inhibiting invasion and migration. The gene discussed is VIM; the disease is gastric cancer.
