In our previous study, we found that IFNγ‐producing DENV–NS3‐specific T cells inversely associated with the degree of viraemia.11 However, in this study, we did not observe such a relationship with IFNγ, but instead found that the overall DENV–NS5‐specific MIP‐1β producing CD8+ T cells negatively correlated with the degree of viremia in patients with DF (Spearman r = −0.51, P = .018), but not in those with DHF. Here, IFNG is linked to Dengue hemorrhagic fever.
