Collectively, these data demonstrated that p300 and HAT1 play a role in the regulation of basic promoter activity of the Nox5 gene in resting Mac and may participate, at least in part, in the process of Nox5 upregulation in response to proinflammatory stimuli by inducing chromatin relaxation, as reported in numerous clinical and experimental models of cardiovascular diseases [11, 12, 26–28]. This evidence concerns the gene NOX5 and cardiovascular disorder.
