MicroRNAs play important roles in transcriptional regulation and are frequently involved in human tumours.30, 31, 32 MicroRNA‐101‐3p acts as a tumour suppressor in GC by targeting the serum response factor directly and suppressing the proliferation and invasion of GC cells induced by HOX Transcript Antisense RNA (HOTAIR).36 Yan et al54 reported that lncRNA SNHG6 promoted cell proliferation and EMT by sponging miR‐101‐3p, leading to poor prognosis in GC. This evidence concerns the gene SNHG6 and gastric cancer.
