DMBA-induced breast cancer rats showed increased expression of Pi3K, phospho AKT, phospho mTOR, and HMG-CoA reductase, and AX-SLN significantly (p < .001) reduced the expression of Pi3K, phospho AKT, phospho mTOR, and HMG-CoA reductase (Figure 5, blot not shown). The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is breast carcinoma.
