Further phase I/II studies evaluating the safety and efficacy of FLT3-inhibitors (e.g., lestaurtinib) as single-agent therapy or in combination with standard chemotherapy in children with newly diagnosed AML, KMT2A-rearranged ALL and r/r AML have already been completed but results have not been published yet (e.g., NCT00469859, NCT00557193). This evidence concerns the gene FLT3 and acute myeloid leukemia.
