Additionally, Lv et al. (2019) demonstrated that PPARγ expression in cancer cells is related to favourable prognostic of patients with bladder cancer and that the in vitro and in vivo administration of pioglitazone or rosiglitazone was responsible for enhancing the cell cycle G2 arrest and apoptosis, followed by reduction in cell proliferation and tumour growth through PI3K-AKT pathway. This evidence concerns the gene PPARG and urinary bladder cancer.
