In the attempts to improve the properties of a TCR molecule of VαCα/VβCβ format, it has been shown previously that a non‐native disulfide bond between α‐ and β‐chain not only increases the stability of the soluble protein and enhances dimer formation, the receptors stabilized in this way are also more efficiently expressed on the surface of human leukocytes 37, induce cytokine secretion and specific tumor cell lysis more potently, and retain their enhanced expression in CD4+ lymphocytes. The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is neoplasm.
