In the present study, western blot results showed that the expressions of PI3K, p-AKT and p-GSK-3β are all up-regulated in the model group, which could lead to speculation that the PI3K/AKT/GSK-3β pathway is involved in MPGN pathogenesis (Figure 4). The gene discussed is GSK3B; the disease is primary membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis.
