NFKB1 and atherosclerosis: Overexpression of miR-145 attenuated secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines by suppressing NF-κB activity in high glucose-induced retinal endothelial cells (Hui and Yin, 2018), but accelerated pro-inflammatory cytokine reaction through activation of NF-κB signaling in atherosclerosis (Li et al., 2018), inferring diverse functions of miR-145 to NF-κB activity.
