There was some evidence for a possible effect of methylation at cg21566642-ALPPL2 and cg23771366-PRSS23 on squamous cell lung cancer {OR = 0.85 [95% confidence interval (CI)=0.75, 0.97] and 0.91 (95% CI = 0.84, 1.00) per SD (14.4% and 5.8%) increase, respectively} as well as methylation at cg23387569-AGAP2, cg16823042-AGAP2, and cg01901332-ARRB1 on lung adenocarcinoma [OR = 0.86 (95% CI = 0.77, 0.96), 0.84 (95% CI = 0.74, 0.95), and 0.89 (95% CI = 0.80, 1.00) per SD (9.47%, 8.35%, and 8.91%) increase, respectively]. Here, AGAP2 is linked to squamous cell lung carcinoma.
