PCAT14 and prostate adenocarcinoma: Of note, the majority of the HERV-K (HML-2)–overlapping transcripts in PRAD derived from a single provirus on Chromosome 22q11.23 (HERVK[Chr22q11.23]), consistent with reported expression of this provirus in PRAD (Goering et al. 2015), and partially overlapped with recently identified lncRNA prostate cancer associated transcript 14 (PCAT14) (Shukla et al. 2016), indicating that PCAT14 is, in fact, a HERVK[Chr22q11.23] transcript (Supplemental Fig. S2).
