Recent work further described an interaction between HSP response and oncogene activation in T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL), given that NOTCH1 [Notch homolog 1, translocation-associated (Drosophila)] signaling induced HSF1 and ablation of this transcription factor eradicated tumor growth in NOTCH1-induced T-ALL models [19]. The gene discussed is HSP90B2P; the disease is acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
